Behind HDLashes
The meaning of HDLashes is more than just high definition lashes. HDLashes actually stands for ‘Helen Duveen’. My mums name. I lost my mum to breast cancer 4 years ago now and my mum has always been my biggest supporter especially when I finished beauty college in 2018. From being a self employed hairdresser herself my mum knew all the ins and outs and always wanted me to succeed.
My mum went through lots of chemotherapy treatment and lost all of her hair completely, everywhere. I have never seen a treatment completely suck away someone’s happiness and confidence like this before. As a daughter you can imagine how hard it was for me to see my mum just go downhill from there. Her health, her mentality and how she looked physically. My mum is my inspiration today and always. This is one of the reasons why HDLashes is a thing. From women who can’t live without there big, long lashes. And women who just love the natural look lash extensions. Some people just loose hair from things like alopecia, menopause, chemotherapy or even just stress related. This list goes on. Well I am here to hopefully make everybody feel more confident in themselves.
In the future my treatments will eventually range from lash extensions from natural to mega volume. And all things eyebrows, laminations, HD brows, microblading. Within the next few years I would also like to start areola tattooing for people like my mum who lost there breast/breasts to cancer and completely lost their feminine feeling of being a woman. This is all to come! So this is me, this is HDLashes.
